Four Packed Lunches and the Empty Ice Tray
Every morning Mary took four Ziploc freezer bags and filled them with ice cubes to pack her families lunches. When she was done the ice trays were empty and it would take hours for the bin to refill, so she bought a Magic Chef portable ice maker.
Mary found that the portable ice maker had different cube sizes and she could make smaller cubes which she liked. Half way through the day Mary found the Magic Chef portable ice maker was half full. She went to the freezer and could still see the bottom of her ice bin. The freezer model made about twenty-four cubes since she used ice that morning. That explained why she never had ice cubes for herself.
When the Magic Chef portable ice maker was full, Mary transferred the ice cubes to her regular freezer bin and let the Magic Chef go to work filling the bin a second time around. She would never run out of ice cubes again.
